Four Generations. One Trade. One Family.

D&G Mechanical wasn’t started to fill a gap in the market. It was started by a family that already knew the trade and decided to work for themselves.

Our roots go back further than our incorporation date. Long before D&G Mechanical was founded, our family was already working with sheet metal. The trade was learned hands-on, one job at a time, passed down from one generation to the next. By the time D&G Mechanical was formally incorporated in 1985, we were already the fourth generation of sheet metal tradesmen in our family. The company name was new. The craftsmanship wasn’t.

In 2025, we mark 40 years as an incorporated business. Forty years of furnaces repaired before sunrise. Forty years of air conditioners installed ahead of the first heat wave. Forty years of sheet metal fabricated to fit the job, not the other way around. It’s a milestone we’re proud of. It doesn’t change what we do on Monday morning. We’re still family-owned. We’re still independent. We’re still showing up.

Built on West Middlesex Ground

D&G Mechanical has called West Middlesex, PA, home since day one. Over the years, our service area has grown to include Cranberry Twp., Wexford, Sewickley, Mars, Treesdale, and Butler. These aren’t just markers on a map. They’re the neighborhoods where our technicians grew up, where our customers’ kids go to school, and where the name D&G means something because someone’s neighbor or coworker already had us out to the house.

That’s what it means to be locally owned and operated for three generations. We don’t hide behind a call center or a corporate name owned by someone in another state. When you call D&G, you’re calling a family that still lives in the community it serves.

We’ve watched these towns grow. We’ve serviced the same houses for decades and, in some cases, the same families for generations. A lot has changed in the industry since 1985 — new equipment, new codes, new technology. What hasn’t changed is who shows up at your door. It’s still a local technician who answers to a local name.

What We Do

D&G Mechanical provides full-service HVAC for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. That includes:

Whether it’s a home that lost heat overnight or a commercial facility that can’t afford downtime, our approach doesn’t change. Diagnose it right. Fix it right. Treat the job like it’s our own house on the line.

Our sheet metal roots set us apart. As members of Local 33 Sheet Metal Workers, we operate a full-capacity sheet metal shop for custom fabrication on projects of any size — from a single ductwork run to components for larger industrial installations. Most HVAC companies don’t have this capability in-house. We do, because it’s the same trade our family has practiced for four generations.

That in-house shop means fewer delays, fewer intermediaries, and parts built to fit the job in front of us — not the closest thing off a shelf. It’s a small detail that makes a real difference on install day.

What You Can Expect

Our reputation was built the slow way — one honest job, one kept promise, one returned phone call at a time. Here’s what backs that reputation:

  • 24/7 emergency service, because heating and cooling problems don’t wait for business hours
  • Free estimates on installations, so you know the cost before you commit
  • Competitive rates, without cutting corners on materials or workmanship
  • Prompt project completion, because a broken system disrupts your home or your business
  • Fully licensed, bonded, and insured, we work on every job, residential or commercial
  • Service on all makes and models, even if we didn’t install the original system

None of this is complicated. It’s the standard a family holds itself to when the work bears its name.

Still Independent. Still Family.

Forty years in, D&G Mechanical hasn’t been bought, franchised, or folded into a larger company. We’re still owned and operated by the same family that started it, working alongside technicians who’ve been with us for years — some for decades. That continuity matters in a trade where the small details decide whether a job is done or done right: how a duct is fitted, how a system is sized, how a technician explains what’s actually wrong.

We’re not chasing growth for its own sake. We’re chasing the same thing we’ve chased since 1985: another job worth putting our name on, another family or business we can serve for years to come, and another generation of tradesmen who understand this work is personal. For us, it always has been.

Forty years from now, we want the same thing to be true. Still family-owned. Still independent. Still answering the phone ourselves.

D&G Mechanical. Family-owned. Four generations of craft. Forty years and counting.
